Most people enter a mentally different phase of their life around their mid-20s. You can learn a lot from dating older, but those relationships can be more exploitive and manipulative by the more experienced partner.

Just be aware that you yourself are forming your own ideas and expectations of love. My only advice is to date people who you wouldn’t be ashamed to say you dated years later. That’s not for the sake of other’s opinions, it’s just keeping yourself to a good standard.

I found my fiance online. I always thought online dating was weird until a friend of mine started dating a really cool guy. He dared me to give it a shot. I did and, what do you know, I met the coolest guy! We have been together for 3 years now and its been wonderful. He is very handsome and loving. Not the weirdo I thought would be online.
You are gonna meet losers and winners in any venue. And I think its way better than picking up dates in a bar

Well, is he odd or is he a bad person?

It’s one thing if there is superficial weirdness that’s embarrassing to a 15 year old, but if you see or sense serious character issues — drugs, alcohol; if he seems too interested in your sister, you need to express those concerns to your mom.

Let’s hope he’s a nice guy — but unless you see character issues, leave her be.
