Is online dating a waste of time?

By FreeSinglesWebsites

I recently joined an online dating service (which costs money) and I’m wondering if its a waste of time. Brief stats, recently divorced, 48 yr old male, looking for single, or divorced female.

What I see is a bunch of flakes, pretenders, people who post old photos, lie about their age, or just show their head/shoulders and then you find out their 40 lbs overweight!

So your saying it is just like when you go out and meet people in person!

It is all a numbers game, the more you go through the closer you are to meeting some one acceptable. Keep trying, there is always some one out there, especially when you least expect it.

Just don’t depend on any one source like bars or online dating. Try everything.

I was signed up and wasted precious time and money for a bunch of BS. I ended my account and within two days I met someone in real life.

It’s not a waste of time. You just have to know what you’re looking for, as with “real life” dating.

Here’s an article I wrote about my experiences and insights about online dating:

You can state in your profile that you do not want to date anyone who is overweight. The more sites you join, the better your chances of meeting someone. See http://www.webdatingguide.com for a list of good dating sites.
