before I found a boyfriend, I used Yahoo (don’t), and also plentyoffish. Plentyoffish has forums, which is cool. But alot of the people there are butt ugly. I’ve heard Chemistry.com is pretty good and free.
Best one I’VE used personally and mind you I never pay for that crap…was plentyoffish.com seems to have the most real profiles I’ve found but keep in mind, it’s just like the real world you may have the advantage where you can expose your true self, and not be judged as quickly, however, it’s sooo much easier than meeting girls in public therefor all the other losers are gonna be on there tryin to get the same girl’s attention. And usually the best liar wins. Or the best looking since the pic is usually the first thing they inspect.
Plenty of Fish is the biggest as far membership goes but my opinion is it’s a pretty bad choice. Any free dating site that advertises other dating sites has a high incentive to see you fail with their service. This is because if you succeed using their service, they’ll not be making money from those other dating services they advertise. As I see things, Plenty of Fish is a much better example of internet marketing than it is of online dating. I don’t know anyone who has developed a serious relationship using it but I do know that Plenty of Fish makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in advertising (it might even be in the millions by now).
The free site that I would recommend is OKCupid.com. It may have less members but the quality of the site is much better, I’ve heard a much larger number of people having success with it and they’re matching system works something like eHarmony but gives you more control over the questions. I met my wife using one of the pay dating sites but if I were dating online again I would be using this service.
The best free online dating site for me is Live Date Search because of its strong scam detector. It allows you to enjoy dating without worrying of scammers.
